Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about the Sitehotelminder modules for SiteMinder — from your first order to day-to-day operations.

Getting started

Sitehotelminder is an independent third-party shop that sells extension modules for the SiteMinder hotel platform. We build and maintain modules that plug into your existing SiteMinder account through the official SiteMinder API, adding functionality that is not included in a standard SiteMinder subscription — for example advanced revenue optimisation, additional OTA distribution channels, accounting-system integration and custom analytics dashboards.
Yes. Every Sitehotelminder module is an extension to SiteMinder, never a replacement. You need an active, paid SiteMinder subscription with API access enabled on your plan. Modules authenticate against your SiteMinder account using your SiteMinder API credentials and operate on top of your existing SiteMinder data.
No. Sitehotelminder is a fully independent third-party company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting on behalf of SiteMinder Limited or any of its parent companies. SiteMinder is a registered trademark of SiteMinder Limited Sitehotelminder builds modules that use the publicly available SiteMinder API.
Sign in to your SiteMinder account and go to Settings → Integrations → API Access (the exact path can vary between SiteMinder releases). Generate a new API key and copy it immediately — SiteMinder typically only reveals the full key once. Then paste it into your Sitehotelminder account settings. See our guide 'How to access your SiteMinder account' for the full walk-through.
API access in SiteMinder depends on your SiteMinder subscription. Not every SiteMinder plan includes API access by default. Contact SiteMinder directly to confirm that your current plan includes API access, or to upgrade to a plan that does. Sitehotelminder cannot grant or change SiteMinder API access — that is entirely controlled by SiteMinder.

Purchase and billing

After you place an order you will receive a secure payment link by email within 5 minutes. Click the link and complete payment on the secure page. Modules are activated as soon as payment is confirmed. Billing is monthly — you will receive a new payment link each month, or your saved payment method will be charged automatically if you have set one up.
Every Sitehotelminder price is quoted in Euros (EUR). If you are based outside the Eurozone your bank may apply a currency conversion fee. Applicable taxes are shown at checkout based on your billing country.
Yes. If you are a VAT-registered business in the EU, provide your VAT number at checkout. We will issue a VAT-compliant invoice in the name of Sitehotelminder GmbH (HRB 234567, Deutschland). B2B services supplied by a German company to an EU VAT number are treated as reverse-charge transactions in most member states — check with your accountant for the treatment applicable in your jurisdiction.
Yes. You can cancel any module subscription at any time from your Sitehotelminder Client Area. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No cancellation fee applies. See the Refund Policy for pro-rata refund terms in the middle of a period.
Bundle pricing is available for orders of 3 modules or more. Get in touch at support@sitehotelminder.org before placing your order to request a bundle quote. The discount is applied as a credit on your next invoice.

Technical and support

We monitor the SiteMinder API changelog and test every module against each SiteMinder API release. When a breaking change is detected we update the affected module and ship a compatibility fix, typically within 48 hours of the SiteMinder API change. You will receive an email notification if a module is temporarily unavailable due to an API update. No billing occurs during confirmed downtime caused by third-party API changes.
Your SiteMinder API key is stored encrypted at rest with AES-256 inside the Sitehotelminder infrastructure. It is transmitted only over TLS 1.3. It is never shared with third parties, never logged in clear text and never visible to Sitehotelminder support staff. You can revoke access at any time by deleting the key from your Sitehotelminder account settings, which also immediately revokes API access for every active module.
Email support is available at support@sitehotelminder.org, Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 CET. Average first response is under 4 business hours. For getting-started support, in-app guided setup flows are available in your Client Area for every module. See also the Guides and Academy sections of this site for self-serve documentation.
Yes. You can connect several Sitehotelminder modules to the same SiteMinder account using one API key. Inside your Sitehotelminder account settings the API key is stored once and shared across every connected module. For Multi-Site users, each SiteMinder property needs its own API key — one key per SiteMinder account.
Sitehotelminder modules read reservation and rate data from SiteMinder through the API in order to execute each module's function (for example, generate rate recommendations or pre-fill guest-portal data). This data is processed transiently and is not permanently stored in Sitehotelminder infrastructure beyond the operational retention windows described in the Privacy Policy and the DPA. No guest payment-card data is ever accessed or stored.
